The Conversions Series embody surreal creatures of Kafkaesque proportions.    This work explored the physiological conditions of being marked by senseless delight, desertions and dismissals.

This was the first series of large-scale color photograms that Richard began exploring in 1993.
These figurative silhouettes are revealed through light licking the nude form thereby recording
their dimensionally shadowed form directly onto the light sensitive paper.
