Richard Slechta’s preoccupation with the phenomenon of light has been a defining influence on every aspect of his work.  The photograms he creates fall somewhere between the fields of painting and photography and will bring to mind a number of abstract concepts from the ranges of audible sounds that emanate from every aspect of the world around us, to a distant, almost otherworldly vista obscured by a mysterious dense fog.  Richard is a Los Angeles based artist and a graduate of School of Visual Arts, New York.  His compelling work has been exhibited across the country and resides in permanent collections including, the Museum of Arts & Sciences, GA.
